Urban Green
The advent of infrastructure development has gravely affected the environment quantitatively and qualitatively. The built environment is influenced by and in turn influences the natural environment. The pressure of increasing requirements creates an inevitable struggle with the existing resources. At present, there’s a compromising state of survival for the green spaces around human-driven construction. The act of spending a sunny afternoon under a tree shade is a sub-conscious choice whose mere realization will mark a difference in people’s outlook towards the importance and current state of natural landscape.
The series aims to reflect upon the conflicting co-existence of urban development with natural elements. It highlights the overpowering pattern of urban spread around natural covers and their relentless longing for a balanced existence.
The project is shot on Ilford HP5 Plus and Ilford Pan 400 films with a Nikon FM 3A camera.
