The work intends to explore women’s affective and sensory experiences of the urban environment and study their emotional understandings while navigating a city. How do women look at a city and how are they gazed at in a city? What are the invisible boundaries imposed on them which restrict their movement in an urban setting? As a female, what is my right to the city and do I have equal access to it? What is a female’s relationship to a city? What are the invisible boundaries in cities which restrict women’s movement? How do women relate and respond to the public conundrum that the city offers them? How do women notice and process male gaze while being in a public space?
